Abstract
PT. Advanta Seeds Indonesia is a company that focuses on sustainable agriculture by producing hybrid corn seeds. PT Advanta Seeds Indonesia experiences problems in the production process in the form of high levels of product defects. The resulting product defects are in the form of corn cobs that do not meet the standards, seeds that do not match the size and damaged seeds. This study aims to analyze the quality control of hybrid corn seed products and continuous improvement actions for the company. The method of quality control and corrective action used is the six sigma approach through the DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze. Improvement and Control) stages. The results of the study found that the calculation of the sigma value in April - May 2023 was 3.40, meaning that the company has not been able to achieve zero defects so that corrective actions are needed in the form of field assistants conducting tighter supervision on the detachment process, providing training to employees when there are new varieties, and checking water content regularly while the calculation of the sigma value after corrective action is 3.76 with total production cost savings after improvement of Rp. 36.546.302.400.
