Abstract

Mobile banking is one of the most innovative and recent technologies in the banking industry. It enables users to easily access and manage their accounts through mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets. This is a fitting solution in today's digital age where the internet has become an inseparable part of daily life. However, not all users can use mobile banking applications fluently. Therefore, it is important to understand the factors that influence the interest and adoption of mobile banking, especially at Bank BTN. This thesis aims to build and test a conceptual model that explains the key factors that influence the interest and adoption of mobile banking by Bank BTN customers. The model used is based on the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT2) which is extended by adding the variable "perceived risk" as an internal factor. This study uses Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) based on Partial Least Square (PLS) to analyze data collected from questionnaires distributed to Bank BTN customers. Social influence and price value significantly influence behavioral intention of Bank BTN customers to use mobile banking. Performance expectancy, effort expectancy, hedonic motivation, and perceived risk have no significant impact on customer behavioral intention. These findings suggest that to increase the acceptance of mobile banking BTN in the future, it is necessary to focus on increasing social influence and price value. By focusing on these factors, it is hoped that Bank BTN can increase the interest and adoption of mobile banking among its customers and make it one of the main channels to serve customers.
