Abstract

Poverty has become a prominent issue significantly affecting communities in a particular region. The inability of the community to meet basic needs such as food, clothing, and shelter underscores the gravity of the situation. Poverty remains a hot topic of discussion within Indonesian society. Data indicates that despite economic development efforts, they have not fully succeeded in addressing poverty across various regions. This highlights the need for a more focused and integrated strategy to effectively tackle the root causes of poverty. This research aims to evaluate the impact of variables such as level of education, economic growth, and employment absorption on poverty in Kebumen Regency. Secondary data is utilized in this research process. The applied method of analysis is multiple linear regression, supplemented with classic assumption tests (BLUE) using SPSS software, revealing that collectively, level of education, economic growth, and employment absorption significantly influence poverty in Kebumen Regency. Independently, level of education has a significant negative impact on poverty, whereas economic growth and employment absorption do not significantly affect the dependent variable of poverty in Kebumen Regency.
