Abstract
This research discusses the strategies carried out by the Indonesian government as the host country government in attracting Foreign Direct Investment or FDI for the nickel industry sector. This research also discusses the strategies carried out by the Indonesian government in the period from 2020 to 2023. Nickel, which is one of Indonesia's leading commodities, has also become one of the focuses of the Indonesian government in terms of industrial development. The strategy implemented by the Indonesian government includes industrial policy which is one of the concepts of Te Velde. The strategies implemented by the Indonesian government are fiscal and financial incentive policies, efficient administrative procedure policies and ownership regulations, promotion policies, clustering policies, and export network policies. This research aims to determine the strategies implemented by the Indonesian government in its efforts to attract FDI to the nickel industry sector. Through descriptive research methods, data has been collected by the author through literature studies and documents on official government websites. Data analysis was carried out using qualitative techniques by understanding the strategies implemented by the Indonesian government in attracting FDI for the nickel industry sector. Thus, this research seeks to provide an overview and information regarding the Indonesian government's efforts to attract FDI for the nickel industry sector.
