Abstract

Sustainable Development Goals or SDGs are sustainable development targets designed by the United Nations which contain 17 sustainable development goals. Adoption of SDGs targets by a country is used to solve national problems, one of which is marine plastic debris. Currently, Indonesia is at an alarming level of marine plastic waste. To resolve these problems, Indonesia adopted SDGs targets 12 and 14 which were aligned with existing priorities, plans and policies. The research method used in this research is descriptive qualitative, where this research will provide a general overview and conclusions. The data collection technique uses secondary data, namely library research. Indonesia's efforts to achieve SDGs 12 and 14 through marine plastic waste are through substantive components in the form of regulations and/or laws at the central, regional levels, as well as bilateral cooperation documents. The behavioral changes take the form of concrete actions such as forming a coordination team, joining campaigns, and other concrete actions to reduce marine plastic debris. With this research, progress in efforts to achieve SDGs 12 and 14 targets in substantive form and behavior change will increase. Keywords: (SDGs, marine plastic debris, efforts)
