Abstract

Business in the informal sector such as UMKM have a very large role in encouraging economic growth. One of which is currently developing a business is a business in the service sector caterers. This study aims to identify and analyze business strategies carried Daun Palm Food and Beverage Surabaya using SWOT Analysis. SWOT Analysis is used to identify the right strategy for a company to mazimize strengths and opportunities, but at the same time to minimize the weaknesses and treats. The method used in this study aims is descriptive qualitative and data collection indept interview in which research directly involved in the activities of finding data to get the results. The sampling technique use was purposive sampling where samples are taken randomly according to the needs of research. Samples taken are the owners, employees, and comsumers of Daun Palm Food and Beverage Surabaya. Based on the results of the analysis using techniques SWOT Analysis, in the table IFAS shows the strengths factor in Daun Palm Food and Beverage is the price ofe the product are sold cheap, raw materials obtained from suppliers of good quality and low cost, has a lot of variety menu, quality service, and has permanent customers. While the weaknesses factor in Daun Palm Food and Beverage Surabay is cramped parking area, desk and chair slightly, less varied menu of coffe, there are no facilities plugs or charger at each table, and no security guards. Reviewed EFAS table shows the Opportunities factor in Daun Palm Food and Beverage Surabaya is a strategic location, conduct promotional strategy that are good and favorable, customer desire to buy products of Daun Palm Food and Beverage Surabaya, and large market potential. While the treats factor in Daun Palm Food and Beverage Surabaya is their competitors of similar businesses.
