Abstract

Planning of Aluminum Ammonium Sulphate Plant will be established in the area JIIPE Manyar, Gresik, East Java with consideration of location close to Highway. This factory uses a 24-hour continuous operating system with 330 working days and 264 employees. Production of Aluminum Ammonium Sulphate from Anhydrous Aluminum Sulphate and Ammonium Sulphate can be used as flocculants in the water purification process, raw materials for making deodorant, materials common in insect repellent sprays and others. In the process itself Anhydrous Aluminum Sulphate and Ammonium Sulphate are purchased with solid phase (powder) stored in storage tanks under conditions of 30°C temperature and pressure 1 atm. Both materials are dissolved first using a tank solvent, for Anhydrous Aluminum Sulphate material after material is dissolved flowed into the clarifier for separation between impurities and impurities the solution. After the two ingredients are dissolved, they are flowed to the heater to heating is carried out until the temperature reaches 90°C. Then the ingredients are put in into the reactor to be processed into Aluminum Ammonium Sulfate. Product flowed to the evaporator to be concentrated with hope before entering Into the crystalizer the solution has become saturated. On the crystalizer of the material in The crystallization then goes into the centrifudge for separation between Aluminum Ammonium Sulfate crystals and mother liquor. Crystal then Put in a rotary dryer to dry using hot air. After that the crystal is cooled using a cooling conveyor and so on Go to the ball mill to do size uniformity. After that log in into the silo as the final product of Aluminum Ammonium Sulphate crystals then Packed in 50 kg sacks and then marketed.
