Abstract

To increase green bean production, it is highly recommended to use organic fertilizer such as cow manure or chicken manure. The aim of this research is to determine the appropriate type and dose of manure to increase the growth and yield of green bean plants. The research was carried out from January to April 2023 in an experimental garden located at the Faculty of Agriculture, UPN "Veteran" East Java. The research was carried out using factorial RAK which included two factors and was repeated four times. Factor I is the type of manure (P) which includes two levels of treatment, namely cow manure (P1) and chicken manure (P2). Factor II is the dose of manure (D) which is divided into three treatment levels, namely D1 (10 tons/ha), D2 (20 tons/ha), and D3 (30 tons/ha). This research shows that there is an interaction between the type and dose of manure used on plant height, number of leaves, number of flowers, number of pods per plant, dry weight, seed weight per plant and seed weight per hectare.
