Abstract
Students who have graduated or commonly called alumni are one of the a useful resource asset for a University. Contribution alumni obtained for the university include corporate networks, information on job vacancies, institutional funders and can facilitate study programs in cooperation with companies. The Industrial Engineering Study Program of UPN "Veteran" East Java has produced Many alumni are scattered throughout Indonesia. But in communication between Alumni and Study Programs currently experiencing exchange problems Information and tracing of alumni who have passed has not been conveyed properly. Based on the description above, it can be concluded that the program needs UPN “Veteran” East Java Industrial Engineering Study on technology services IT-based services are very varied, one of the needs is the need for a mobile-based information application. To meet the needs and demands above the author tries to make the alumni information system into a program an application for Android-based smartphones that is easy to use, meaning that it can easily used by users and functionally also answer the needs of the users. This software was created using the Java programming. Java programming is used because it has high flexibility as a multiplatform that can be run on several system platforms. The results of this study indicate that the alumni information system developed are able to overcome the obstacles experienced by the Study Program Industrial Engineering, especially regarding data processing, information exchange and Alumni tracing.
