Abstract
The starfruit plant pest and disease diagnosis system uses Naive Bayes method aims to help the process of early diagnosis of attacks starfruit plant pests and diseases based on the symptoms or characteristics of the plant infected starfruit. This system is useful to help farmers in diagnosing starfruit plant pests and diseases based on the symptoms attack starfruit plants appropriately and provide solutions countermeasures, so as to increase the production of star fruit and overcome crop failure caused by pests and plant diseases penyakit star fruit. The Naive Bayes method was chosen in this study because this method based on the initial condition which is the condition of the existing symptoms Then the rules that have been determined are then taken and the truth value is taken the greatest to determine the solution of the symptoms mentioned previous. In the Naive Bayes method, Laplace smoothing optimization is also used to avoid values that are 0. This system is built using codeigniter framework because it is the most popular php framework in building a web-based system. The data used in this study obtained from experts, namely agrotechnology lecturers at trilogy university. Results on This study shows that, in testing the accuracy of the dataset used as many as 100 data which is divided into training data and test data. On 25 test data obtained an accuracy rate of 96%, while the training data obtained 100% accuracy rate. Keywords: star fruit plant, naive bayes method, codeigniter framework
