Abstract
Instagram account @exploremadura is an account created by a group of people who are from Madura and have an interest in traveling. This account is unique compared to other similar accounts. In addition to containing information about the location of tourism, @exploremadura also contains various kinds of cultural uniqueness that exist on the island of Madura with the aim that people understand more about what makes Madura look unique and different. This research aims to find out the Madura discourse that was built on the @exploremadura Instagram account. The research method used in this study is qualitative research with a discourse analysis study approach from Teun Van Dijk. Data collection is carried out by in-depth interviews with managers of Instagram accounts @exploremadura and documentation of several Instagram posts that contain tourism, culinary, and Madurese culture. With a blend of text analysis, social cognition, and the social context of Teun Van Dijk, the researchers concluded that the @exploremadura Instagram account was successful in fulfilling its desire to introduce Madura from its tourism, cultural and culinary aspects.
