Abstract

This research highlights the complexity of the relationship between the Indonesian stock market and external factors such as the Chinese index, changes in Brent crude oil prices and inflation rates. The aim of this research is to find out how domestic macro factors and international macro factors can influence financial performance in a country. The population used is the price movement of SSEC, Brent Crude Oil and the Inflation Rate over a period of 60 months from June 2018 – July 2023. The research method used is a descriptive quantitative approach. The analysis technique used is multiple linear regression analysis. The research results show that simultaneously, the three variables have an influence on the IHSG. Partially, there are differences in influence. SSEC was not proven to have a partial influence on the JCI, while Brent Crude Oil and the inflation rate had a partially significant influence on the IHSG. The implications of these findings can provide insight for market players, regulators and stakeholders to understand more about the factors that influence JCI movements in the Indonesian capital market. Keywords: Shanghai Stock Exchange Composite, Brent Crude Oil, Inflation Rate, Composite Stock Price Index, Indonesian Capital Market
