Abstract
The rate of conversion of agricultural land to non-agricultural land in Gresik Regency is high, threatening food security. Through Law No. 41 of 2009 concerning the Protection of Sustainable Food Agricultural Land, it is hoped that there will be encouragement in the provision of sustainable food agricultural land, to prevent a decline in food production levels that will threaten food security. Farmers' perception on the policy of Sustainable Agricultural Land Protection shows a positive response with a range of perception scores between quartile III and median with a value of 818, so that in general LP2B protection measures can be implemented. The influence of land area on production based on the analysis of variance P regression value of 0.000 . then simultaneously the independent variable (Land Area, Capital, price) has a significant influence on the dependent variable (Production), the Implementation of the Policy for the Protection of Sustainable Food Agricultural Land (LP2B) in Gresik Regency which has not been effective and maximum both in the aspects of planning, LP2B development, LP2B development , control, LP2B information system, protection and empowerment of farmers, community participation and sanctions. The rate of conversion of agricultural land in Gresik Regency is fast and is estimated to be exhausted in 2037 due to a shortage of up to 874.51 Ha. Obstacles to the implementation of sustainable food agricultural land protection policies of the Gresik Regency Government include the absence of lp2b delineation maps AND LP2B reserves as well as farmers, not the maximum intensification, extensification and diversification programs, small budgets in efforts to preserve land resources, lack of coordination between related institutions, socialization and promotion. the absence of special training about the protection of LP2B, LP2B incentives are less attractive, lack of land use supervision, lack of community participation and sanctions that have not been confirmed.
