Abstract
Mountain Village is a village that lies Maddah in Sampang district Subdistrict village which has the potential of higher yields against commodity corn, because farmers in the village have already implemented the technology in accordance with the advice of the Government.So based on the policy of the Central Government towards self- sufficiency in corn, then the Sampang Regency Government started doing some pretty good strategy such as: (1) Encourages farmers cultivating hybrid maize varieties in order for cropping, (2) increase the productivity of corn by means of expanding the acreage for planting corn, (3) Conducting logging against corn farmers with different varieties of local corn, like corn local madurese were still limited to cover his planting acreage, area (4) Do pure penggaluran against local corn Madura . The first objective in this study aimed to identify the level of application of technology of hybrid corn by farmers in the Mountain Village of Maddeh sub-district of Sampang District of Sampang, the second objective to know the relation of characteristics of farmers (aged farmers, level of education, gender, experience, berbudidaya land area, the status of the land) against the application of the technology of hybrid corn by farmers in the village of Mount Maddah Subdistrict Sampang, and the third goal to know the constraints that hinder the level of application of technology of hybrid corn by farmers and extension officers in the village of Mount Airy Maddeh sub district of Sampang District of Sampang.This research was conducted in the village of Maddeh Sub-district Mountain Sampang. Data used in this research is the primary and secondary data.The sample in this study the researchers determine the approach according to Taro Yamane.The analysis that was used for the first purpose was the Impact Point, the second purpose of Chi-square analysis, and the third goal using a descriptive analysis.The first results of the study demonstrate the application of the technology was done by farmers in the village of Mount Maddah majority category with high levels of application of the technology, with the average score achieved the maximum score value 408.58 500 that can be achieved with the percentage of 80.1% of the assessment.Research results both indicate the factors age, level of education and experience berbudidaya have a real relationship towards the level of application of technology of maize hybrid.While the factor of gender factors, land area and land status have no real relationship towards the level of application of technology of maize hybrid.The third research results indicate constraints faced by farmers is the lack of capital, pests and diseases, the expertise of farmers, price fluctuations and marketing.While the constraints faced by the officers was the lack of extension officers, extension officers do not share of work areas, as well as the lack of infrastructure and facilities.
