Abstract
Chili is a commodity with the potential for continued development due to its high economic value. However, in 2021, its production decreased by 8.09% (121.96 thousand tons) compared to the previous year. One significant challenge in cayenne pepper plants is bacterial wilt disease, primarily caused by Ralstonia solanacearum. This pathogen induces wilting in plants by disrupting plant cells and impeding the transport of water and nutrients. The utilization of biological agents, particularly a combination or consortium of bacteria, has demonstrated the ability to inhibit pathogen growth and promote plant growth, surpassing their individual effects. The consortium of fluorescent pseudomonad bacteria isolate Pf-142 and Bacillus mycoides, both recognized as Plant Growth-Promoting Rhizobacteria (PGPR), holds the potential to enhance plant growth. The most effective antagonistic mechanism in the in-vitro test was observed in the bacterial consortium (pseudomonad fluorescent isolate Pf-142 and B. mycoides), showing an inhibition zone of 7.5 mm. In-vivo testing involved five treatments with five replicates each. Based on the conducted research, Treatment B3 (B. mycoides and Pseudomonad fluorescent isolate Pf-142) emerged as the most effective, with an efficacy percentage (EP) of 70%. Additionally, EP for B1 (B. mycoides) was 58.8%, B2 (Pseudomonad fluorescent isolate Pf-142) was 52.9%, and B4 (Bactericide) was 58.8%. The application of biological agents also demonstrated a positive impact
