Abstract

Increasing the productivity of sweet corn plants can be done by applying NPK fertilizer and liquid organic fertilizer with the right dosage and concentration. This research aims to determine the effect of NPK fertilizer dosage and liquid organic fertilizer concentration on the growth and yield of sweet corn plants. This research was conducted in Wonokromo Village, Tikung, Lamongan from May to July 2023. This research used a Divided Plots Design (RPT) with two factors. The first factor was the dose of NPK fertilizer (100 kg/ha, 200 kg/ha, 300 kg/ha, and 400 kg/ha). The second factor is the concentration of liquid organic fertilizer (0 ml/l water/plot, 15 ml/l water/plot and 30 ml/l water/plot). Data were analyzed using ANOVA with 5% BNT further test. The results showed that there was a significant interaction between the treatment combination of NPK fertilizer dosage and liquid organic fertilizer concentration on the parameters of number of leaves, stem diameter, and sugar content. Singly, the treatment of NPK fertilizer dose of 300 kg/ha gave significant results on the parameters of plant length, number of leaves, stem diameter 35 hst, cob length without cob, cob diameter with cob, cob diameter without cob and cob weight with cob per plant. The treatment of NPK fertilizer dose of 200 kg/ha gave results that significantly affected the parameters of stem diameter 49 hst, cob length with cob and cob weight without cob per plant. The single treatment of liquid organic fertilizer concentration of 15 ml/l water/plot gave significant results on the parameters of the number of leaves, stem diameter, cob diameter with cob, cob diameter without cob, cob weight with cob per plant and cob weight without cob per plant.
