Abstract
Behind the increasingly advanced and rapid development of technology, there are still those who use traditional methods of conveying information. For example, correspondence activities such as writing notification letters, invitation letters or circulars are still widely carried out, including in agencies. At SMA Muhammadiyah 7 Surabaya, mail management still uses manual methods where administrative staff record the details of the mail in a ledger and then store the mail in a filing cabinet. Likewise, when outgoing letters are not always archived, the documents are only stored on the computer. Given these problems, this research aims to create an electronic correspondence information system with digital signatures using the website-based Rivest Shamir Adleman algorithm to help manage existing letters, such as creating letters and archiving them. The electronic correspondence information system was designed using the Waterfall method including Communication, Planning, Modeling, Construction and Deployment. This system will be built using the CodeIgniter framework and tested using the Black-box Testing method. With this Correspondence Information
