Abstract

ABSTRACT The motorcycle community is often viewed negatively by society, the image of recklessness is definitely synonymous with the motorcycle community. However, not all motorcycle organizations have such an image. The YNCI community regularly conducts positive activities that engage the community so that the existing negative stigma is transformed into a positive one. Given this background, this study discusses the PR strategy of the YNCI motorcycle community to build its image in society. The aim of this research is to determine the PR strategy of the motorcycle community YNCI (Yamaha Nmax Club Indonesia) in building an image in society. The design used in this research is descriptive and qualitative. The methods used in this research are documentation and interview methods. The data analysis techniques used are data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. This research was carried out at the YNCI (Yamaha Nmax Club Indonesia) motorcycle community meeting point in Jl. carried out. Basuki Rahmat, Surabaya. Three informants, including the chairman, public relations department and social media department, were interviewed in detail as part of a data collection process. The theory used to implement the strategy is based on the PR mix theory of Thomas L. Harris, namely publication (publication), event (activity program), news (news creation), community involvement (community involvement), image information (Display of corporate identity). ), lobbying and negotiation (lobbying and negotiation process), social responsibility (participation in social activities).
