Abstract

Cavendish banana cultivation can use in vitro culture techniques which are capable of producing banana seeds in large quantities. Coconut water and bean sprout extracts can become organic PGR because they contain plant hormone. This research aims to determine the right type and concentration for in vitro explant growth. The research used RAL with 12 treatments (Z) used including coconut water (Z1-Z6), bean sprout extract (Z7-Z12), and the concentration used was 7.5; 10; 12.5; 15; 17.5; and 20%. The results of the research showed that coconut water treatment was generally better than bean sprout extract with the best treatment, namely coconut water treatment with a concentration of 12.5% for the parameters tested.
