Abstract
Education is a source of learning processes for individuals to achieve higher knowledge and understanding of certain and specific objects. The knowledge is obtained formally which results in individuals having a mindset and behavior in accordance with the education they have acquired. The Bayu skak experience is a new thing happening in the world of lectures in Indonesia, the video "not graduated 3 years I graduated" which was uploaded on August 10 2019 tells of his experience Bayu was declared graduated with the work he had created. This is a new experience that has occurred in the world of education in Indonesia. The research method used in this study is a qualitative study with a reception analysis study approach encoding / decoding model by Stuart Hall. Data collection was carried out by conducting in-depth interviews with informants. The research method used in this study was a qualitative study using a reception analysis model encoding / decoding study approach by Stuart Hall. Data collection is done by conducting indepth interviews (in-depth interviews) to informants who have watched video shows not in college for 3 years I graduated. The results of this study indicate that students are in three positions namely the position of dominant hegemony, negotiation and opposition in the process of meaning and acceptance of education in the video of not a 3 year college I graduated.
