Abstract
Income inequality is an economic problem that is in the spotlight in almost every developing country, such as Indonesia. This research aims to analyze the influence of per capita expenditure, average length of schooling, life expectancy, and population on income distribution inequality in 7 districts/cities of East Java Province in 2015-2021. The data used in this research is secondary data obtained from the Central Statistics Agency in the 2015-2021 time period. This research uses multiple linear regression analysis of panel data with the Common Effect Model method. The results of the research show that (1) Per Capita Expenditure has a negative and significant influence on Income Distribution Inequality in 7 Districts/Cities of East Java Province (2) Average Years of Schooling has a positive and insignificant influence on Income Distribution Inequality in 7 Districts/ Cities of East Java Province (3) Life Expectancy has a negative and insignificant influence on Income Distribution Inequality in 7 Districts/Cities of East Java Province (4) Population has a negative and significant influence on Income Distribution Inequality in 7 Districts/Cities of the Province East Java.
