Abstract
Society is increasingly demanding convenience in work processes in various sectors, and an example is the use of information technology for data processing. Speed, accuracy, and efficiency are the advantages of information technology that have become attractive, encouraging many government and private agencies to adopt this technology in their operations. This is done with the aim of improving the quality of agency services in the face of rapid technological developments. This research aims to develop a lost letter application system at Polsek Taman. This application is constructed using the Laravel framework and applies the Secure Hash Algorithm (SHA) research methodology as a document security measure. Data collection was conducted through interviews with resource persons from related agencies and field surveys. The results showed that the use of hash methods in securing personal documents can increase security, providing protection from potential criminal acts. This application is expected to facilitate the making of loss letters and support police performance. Thus, this research contributes to the development of applications that are not only effective in overcoming administrative problems, but also in improving document security. The implementation of this application is expected to provide positive benefits by providing better services to the community and supporting the efficiency of police work.
