Abstract
This study aims to see the effect of government spending variables in the education, health and road infrastructure sectors on the Human Development Index in Sidoarjo Regency in 2011-2022. Secondary data in the form of time series data obtained from the Central Bureau of Statistics to be used in this study. Quantitative methods are used in this study with multiple linear regression analysis with the help of Eviews 10.0 windows, using the Ordinary Least Square (OLS) method. The results of this study indicate that government spending in the education sector affects the human development index in Sidoarjo district. Government spending in the health sector affects the human development index in Sidoarjo district. Government spending in the road infrastructure sector has no effect on the human development index in the Sidoarjo district.
