Abstract

Sidoarjo Regency is one of the regions that has quite large potential in the fisheries sector, especially the pond cultivation fisheries sub-sector. This can be seen from the icon of Sidoarjo Regency as one of the centers for milkfish and shrimp producers. Sidoarjo City has a fish trading center facility, namely the Fish Marketing Depot (DPI). DPI is one of the markets of the Sidoarjo Regency Fisheries and Maritime Service. In the operational process, fish markets produce fish waste which is the main cause of markets becoming dirty and smelly if not managed properly. The fish processing and storage industry itself uses significant energy resources, especially in the use of cold storage functions and water use. After operating for more than 14 years since it was first built and the growth of the community, there is increasing interest in fish shopping and culinary tourism. However, this fish market has not been able to optimize its existing potential. The redesign is then planned to be carried out by the regional government of Sidoarjo Regency. From here came the idea of designing a redesign of the Sidoarjo Fish Marketing Depot that was environmentally responsive. The redesign uses a green architecture approach through pragmatic methods so that DPI Sidoarjo's energy and environmental problems can be optimized and it is hoped that it will become an inclusive and environmentally responsive fish shopping center by supporting various recreational activities.
