Abstract
In the Indonesian action movies, antagonistic female character adopts several representasion of femme fatale. Through this femme fatale character, women not longer seen as mere objects of sexuality, but it can equel with men. This research to be focus on representation of femme fatale in the Indonesian action movies, that’s ‘Headshot’ (2016) and ‘The Night Comes For Us’ (2018). Data in the form of scenes that display femme fatale character in the both movie will be researced using method of semiotic analysis by John Fiske ‘Codes of Television’ consisting of reality level, representation level, and ideology level. The symbols displayed in the scenes represent of femme fatale in the Indonesian action movie. This research using descriptive qualitative study. Representation of femme fatale in the Indonesian action movie have some similarities with representation of femme fatale from previous research, they have seductive character, full of deceptions, have a romantic relationship, also they have strength which not inferior with mens. Other that, there are still a few representation displayed by femme fatale in the both Indonesian action movies.
