Abstract
This study aims to determine the implementation of additional criminal chemical castration against perpetrators of criminal acts of child molestation in the district court Mojokerto and also to find out what obstacles are faced in the implementation of additional punishment of chemical castration against perpetrators of criminal acts child abuse and what efforts can be made to deal with these barriers. This study uses an empirical juridical method, namely: research carried out on the actual situation or real occurs in the community with the intention of knowing and finding the facts and data needed, if the required data has been collected then leads to problem identification which in the end leads to problem solving. Sources of data obtained from literature, legislation applicable and interview. The results of the study can be concluded that in execution of chemical castration injection, before there are prisoners in chemical castration There are several stages that prisoners have to go through. Prisoners must undergo some medical tests first to determine his physical condition and undergo psychological testing. Execution of chemical castration injections against prisoners carried out 2 months after the verdict was read by the judge. Procedure injection of chemical castration fluid is carried out in government hospitals that have been appointed by the Attorney General of the Republic of Indonesia. At the time of injection chemical castration, prisoners are accompanied by Class IIB prison officers Mojokerto. In the implementation of the additional crime of chemical castration, various obstacles include the lack of socialization to the prisoners concerned, the lack of additional criminal sanctions for chemical castration in Indonesia, health prisoners are not guaranteed, inadequate facilities in hospitals Keywords: chemical castration, additional punishment, child molestation
