Abstract

This research focuses on Changes in Turkish Policy from Open Door Policy to Border Wall Project. This research aims to understand the transformation of Turkish policy, in particular what factors influenced Turkey's decision to implement the Border Wall Project for the period 2015-2022 with the main focus on the construction of a border wall or Border Wall Project. As a result of the Syrian conflict, Turkey began implementing the Open Door Policy in 2011. However, in 2015, Turkey began implementing the Border Wall Project. And in 2016, Türkiye began restricting movement between countries. The author uses an explanatory qualitative approach through literature study based on Joakim Eidenfalk's Theory of Foreign Policy Change. This research will contain the topic of factors that influence decision making to implement the Border Wall Project by Turkey. In this research, the author argues that the construction of the border wall implemented by Turkey is caused by booming migration, terrorism and increasing illegal smuggling on Turkey's southern and eastern borders. Keywords: Turkey, Open Door Policy, Border Wall Project
