Abstract

This study aimed to examine and analyze factors that influencing adoption of open government initiatives in Javanese Provinces local government. This study used quantitative method with multiple linear regression analysis statistical technique. The population in this study were all of six provinces in Java. The samples in this study were taken based on purposive sampling technique with 113 cities as final samples. The findings of this study indicate that taxes paid by citizens has a positive relationship with the way to acces local government websites, meanwhile political fragmentation has a negative relationship with the way to access local government websites. The implication of this study seem to point out the lack of local government initiatives to adopt open government. Therefore, it’s necessary to gain awareness of the right to obtain public information and improving facilities for accessing open government data.
