Abstract

The Diammonium Hydrogen Phosphate Factory with the Ammonia-Granulation Process with a capacity of 60,000 tons/year will be established in the Manyar area, Gresik Regency, East Java, precisely in the Java Integrated Industrial and Ports Estate (JIIPE) Industrial Area. In the agricultural industry, diammonium phosphate is used as a fertilizer containing the elements Nitrogen (N) and Phosphorus (P). In addition, diammonium phosphate can also be used as an additive to cigarette mixtures, refining sugar and as a yeast nutrient in making wine and beer. This factory will operate 24 hours a day, 330 days a year. The raw material used is Ammonia obtained from PT. Petrokimia Gresik and phosphoric acid obtained from PT. Jordan Abadi, Gresik. The brief process for making diammonium phosphate is that it starts by reacting the raw materials 52% phosphoric acid and 99.5% ammonia gas in a reactor until it becomes a slurry, namely liquid monoammonium phosphate and solid diammonium phosphate. The product that comes out of the reactor will be fed into the evaporator to concentrate the product by evaporating the water that is still contained in the product in the form of a slurry. The product that comes out of the evaporator will be fed into the granulator to be formed into granules. The granulator that will be used is a rotary drum granulator type, taking into account the main material as the core and the binding material (in the form of ammonia gas). In the granulator itself, Diammonium Hydrogen Phosphate (DAP) will be formed from Mono ammonium phosphate (MAP) and Ammonia (NH_3). The product coming out of the granulator is fed into the dryer with the aim of reducing the water content contained in the product. . The product coming out of the rotary dryer is fed to the Belt Conveyor to the rotary cooler with the aim of lowering the temperature of the product coming out of the drying process. After the temperature of the diammonium phosphate granules drops, the granules are fed using a conveyor to the screen to separate the results based on size. Particle Diammonium Hydrogen Phosphate of suitable size will be brought by The conveyor belt goes to the storage tank and is then taken to the section Diammonium Hydrogen Phosphate product packaging. Meanwhile, granule particles those whose sizes are not suitable will be taken by the conveyor to the granulator as granule seeds.
