Abstract

The basic ingredient of pulp is a fibrous material which is a product used in making paper and cardboard. The raw materials for pulp are cellulose materials such as wood and non-wood. The soda process is a process for making pulp-based materials using chemical methods. In the basic process of pulping soda, NaOH is generally used as an ingredient in the cooking solution. In this research, pulp base material was made using the soda process using pineapple crown raw materials with varying NaOH concentrations and the best concentration was found to be 10%.
