Abstract
The dynamic development of the global economy during the COVID-19 pandemic and geopolitical tensions in Eastern Europe caused countries in the world to face inflation problems. The study aims to determine the effect of monetary policy and fiscal policy on the inflation in the two crisis periods in Indonesia. Research using secondary data sourced from DJPb Ministry of Finance, Bank Indonesia, and Ministry of trade. The data used is the monthly time series data from January 2019 to April 2023. The analytical techniques used in this study are multiple regression analysis and independent samples t test. The result of this study indicates the BI rate, government expenditure, and tax simultaneously have a significant effect on inflation. In contrast, money supply M2 have no significant effect on inflation. Money supply M2 and inflation have a significant difference during pandemic and Russia-Ukraine tensions. In contrast, BI interest rates, government spending and taxes have no significant difference during the COVID-19 pandemic and Russia-Ukraine tensions.
