Abstract
Clothing is one of the primary human needs, but due to the times, the function of clothing is also used to meet social needs and reflect someone in a certain social class and class. The times make the audience have to follow trends in clothing. Trends have a changing or dynamic nature, coupled with the presence of mass media that contains stylish, charming, and luxurious top celebrities. To keep the audience looking up-to-date, there is fast fashion that produces clothes and grooming that are popular and following the times. Fast fashion presents a ready to wear concept that applies trending designs in the form of clothing at affordable prices and access. Reaching the largest waste in the world after oil, contributing 62 million tons of waste, 20% of the world's waste and 10% of carbon emissions in the world that can lead to climate change and reduce the number of clean water. Therefore, the research problem formulation is how to design a video campaign as a solution to overcoming the bad effects of fast fashion? Designing social campaign videos that contain information about fashion to the dangers of fast fashion and inviting audiences to care for and manage old clothes with shibori and patchwork techniques so as to increase awareness and create new mindsets with the right video media. The design of the social campaign video uses several methods to find data using qualitative and quantitative methods. Qualitative methods are conducted by interviewing people who understand the current phenomena. Meanwhile, the quantitative method is obtained by distributing questionnaires to the target audience. The results of these data were analyzed using fishbone analysis techniques and descriptive analysis techniques. After processing the data, the keyword “New Color Fashion” appears which means to form a new mindset for the target audience to participate in protecting the earth by participating in this social campaign. These keywords are used as a reference in making the visual concept of the social campaign video entitled "Upcycle Together". The video will contain information on the bad effects of fashion and persuasive messages to invite audiences to want to wear their old clothes with shibori and patchwork techniques.
