Abstract
Agriculture is one of the important factors in Indonesia's economic development. The agricultural sector has a major contribution to national development, besides that the majority of Indonesian people are farmers. Food crops are one of the crops needed by the Indonesian people, especially rice plants, therefore rice production, must be increased in every region to meet the food needs of the Indonesian people, but in recent years rice production has decreased. This decline is caused by several production factors that affect rice production. The purpose of this reseacrh is to describe the characteristics of rice farmers in Prambon District, Nganjuk Regency, to describe rice farming in Prambon District, Nganjuk Regency, to analyze the influence of rice production factors on rice production in Prambon District, Nganjuk Regency. This reseacrh used multiple linear regression analysis with SPSS 23 application. The results showed that: 1.characteristics of respondent farmers on average productive age. Rice farmers in Prambon sub-district are dominated by men. Respondent farmers in Prambon sub-district have the most junior high school education. Rice farmers in Prambon District have an average land area of 0.44 (Ha) Farming experience The respondent farmers on average have long experience. 2. Rice farming in Prambon sub-district, farmers use an average of 17 kg of rice seeds planted, varieties used in Prambon sub-district, inpari variety 32. Resonden rice farmers use 311 Kg. The pesticides used are insecticides. The amount of pesticide use in the research area on average uses pesticides of 5 liters. The labor that farmers use most during maintenance because at the time of maintenance includes three activities, namely fertilization, weeding, and spraying pesticides. 3. The results of multiple linear regression analysis show that the f test shows that simultaneously or together the variables of land area, seeds, fertilizers, pesticides, labor, and farming experience affect rice production in Prambon District. The results of the T test show that the variables of land area, fertilizer, labor, agricultural experience have a real effect on rice production in Prambon District while seed and pesticide variables do not have a real effect on rice production in Prambon District.
