Abstract

A victory in a competition is achieved to enhance abilities, knowledge, and skills. However, the presentation of competition information in some cities in Indonesia still employs conventional methods through posters and brochures. This research focuses on the design and development of a web-based competition portal application as an effort to address the issue of conventional competition information presentation. In addition to providing a solution to this problem, the research also focuses on creating a system that can connect competition participants and providers in a single web-based digital platform, complete with their respective business processes. The application's design and development are conducted using the feature-driven development method. In this method, the system's complexity is broken down into smaller parts based on identified features. This method adopts an iterative and incremental approach, where the process is repeated based on features or user satisfaction, and each iteration shows increased progress. Each iteration process is complemented with black box testing, as well as post-development usability scale system testing. Consequently, the resulting system is practical according to standards and user needs.
