Abstract
Cavendish (Musa acuminata) is the most demand comodity all over the world, as long as the increse of human population, the demand of this comodity also increasing. Tissue culture is the most effective propagtion system to produce plants in large number with the short term, to improove the effectiveness of this propagation system the adding of plant growth regulator or plant extract in the medium is really need to be done to accelerate cell division and growth. This experiment using mung bean and long bean extract with the different concentration each 50 g/l and 100 g/l. Mung bean and long bean sprout has a different content and vii concentration of phytohormones, so the effect to the planlet is different too. This purpose of the research is to know the effect of adding mung bean and long bean extract with the different concentration to the growth of the plantlet. this research is using completely randomized design (CRD) with 5 treatments: mung bean sprout extract 100 g/l (K1), mung bean sprout extract 50 g/l (K2), long bean sprout extract 100 g/l (K3), long bean sprout extract 50 g/l (K4), control (without bean sprout extarct) (K5). The result of this research is long bean sprout extract 50 g/l giving the best effect to the plantlet height, number of leaves, and number of roots. Besides, the treatment of mung bean sprout extract give the best effect to the number of shoots of the plantlet. Keyword: cavendish (Musa acuminata), bean sprout extract, tissue culture, phytohormones
