Abstract
Eggplant (Solanum melongena L.) is a horticultural plant that belongs to the family Solanaceae. Eggplant has an economical value where efforts increase eggplant production with the selection of highproduction purple eggplant varieties. The use of organic fertilizers is beneficial for plants and soils. Manure is useful for spouting soil and has the content of N, P, K. The administration of liquid organic fertilizer is easily absorbed by plants. This research aims to determine the addition of liquid organic fertilizer and kinds of varieties of eggplant plants affect the growth and yield of plants are eggplant purple and find out the real interaction between the treatment the addition of liquid organic fertilizer and varieties on growth and yield of some crop varieties of eggplant purple. The research was conducted on the grounds of the Faculty of Agriculture of the National Development University "Veteran" of East Java in March 2020–June 2020. This study used complete randomized design (RAL), which consists of two factors namely the factor of one eggplant variety (V) consisting of 4 varieties: mustang, pertiwi, antaboga, ratih ungu and a factor of two doses of fertilizer (P) consisting of 4 treatment levels: 0 ml, 60 ml, 80 ml, 100 ml. The results showed that The results showed that the combination of liquid organic fertilizer 80 ml and varieties pertiwi F1 gives the best results on plant height, the combination of liquid organic fertilizer 100 ml and varieties pertiwi F1 gives the best results on the amount of interest, a combination of liquid organic fertilizer 100 ml and the varieties of mustang F1 gives the best results on the percentage of fruit set. Liquid organic fertilizer 100 ml gives the best results on the percentage of fruit set plants of eggplant. Varieties pertiwi F1 showed the best results on plant height, number of leaves, time the flowers appear, fruit length and fruit diameter.
