Abstract

The development of science and technology in society has encouraged the emergence of various types of new innovations, including in the financial sector. The payment system has progressed from a cash payment system to a non-cash payment system. The ease of the non-cash payment system will influence the effectiveness of monetary policy and financial stability in society through JUB. This research is used to see the impact of non-cash transactions on JUB in a narrow sense in Indonesia. This research uses secondary data with a semester time series type obtained from Bank Indonesia (BI) and the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) for the 2016–2022 period. Multiple linear regression analysis is used to carry out the processing. From the research results, it is known that transactions using debit cards do not have a significant effect on JUB in the narrow sense, transactions using credit cards do not have a significant effect on JUB in the narrow sense, and e-money has a significant positive effect on JUB in the narrow sense in Indonesia. Keywords: Money Supply (M1), Debit Card, Credit Card, e-money
