Abstract
Peanut (Arachis hypogaea L.) in Indonesia is a commodity most important agriculture after soybean which has a strategic role in food nationally as a source of protein and vegetable oil. One of the efforts What can be done to increase crop productivity is to: use of growth regulators (ZPT) by taking into account the concentration and initial age of application. This study aims to determine the effect of concentration and initial age of application of the growth regulator paclobutrazole against growth and production of peanuts. Research conducted in Karang Wungu Hamlet, Kenanten Village, Puri District, Mojokerto Regency in November 2019 – February 2020. The study was compiled using Factorial Completely Randomized Design with two factors, namely the concentration of the substance growth regulator paclobutrazol (K) consisting of K1 = 75 ppm; K2 = 100 ppm; K3 = 125 ppm; K4 = 150 ppm; K5 = 175 ppm and the initial age of application of the regulator growing paclobutrazol (W) consisting of W1 = 20 days after planting; W2 = 30 days after planting; W3 = 40 days after planting. Research result showed that the combination treatment between concentration and initial age the application of the growth regulator paclobutrazol had a significant effect on generative observations (number of pods and seed weight) per peanut plant. Combination K2W1 (concentration of growth regulator paclobutrazol 100 ppm with the initial age of application 20 days after planting) has a significant effect best.
