Abstract
Poverty in Indonesia is currently still a severe problem, poverty is also related to social problems in Indonesia poverty is also not spared from hitting East Java to reduce the poverty rate can be done with several factors that affect the poverty rate. Efforts to reduce the poverty rate to normal numbers require the support of accurate data that is very detailed about the poor, the characteristics of the poor need to be considered are demographic, education, health, and housing problems. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of unemployment, local revenue, and average years of schooling on the poverty rate in East Java. This research uses quantitative methodology. The type of data used in this study is secondary data collected through the link (BPS) of East Java Province. The method used is multiple linear regression analysis method using Eviews. The results showed simultaneously Unemployment, Local Original Income, and Average length of schooling had a significant effect on poverty in East Java. While partially unemployment has a significant positive effect on poverty, but local original income and average length of schooling have a significant negative effect on poverty in East Java.
