Abstract
The Kremboong Sugar Factory, Sidoarjo produces the main product, namely sugar White Crystal (GKP) from the main raw material in the form of sugarcane MBS (Sweet, Clean, Fresh). Meanwhile, the side products produced are filter cake, sugar cane molasses, as well as The by-product for the PLTU factory is sugar cane bagasse. Sugarcane processing process becomes sugar in PG. Kremboong is divided into 7 stations, namely: 1. Mill Station 2. Purification Station 3. Evaporation Station 4. Cooking Station 5. Loop Station 6. Settlement Station Operating system in PG. Kremboong is divided into 2, namely operational operations batch and continuous. The milling station until completion uses the system continuously, except at cooking stations and HGF (High Fugal Grade) for SHS sugar operating in batches. P.G. Kremboong has advantages compared to sugar factories others, namely at the boiler station which functions as a superheated steam generator with a pressure of 46 bar. The combustion process at this station uses materials main burn of sugar cane bagasse. This factory's electricity needs are supplied from a generator driven by superheated steam produced by the boiler. Meanwhile, electricity from PLN is only used as a backup when the factory is closed grind or interference occurs. Additionally, P.G. Krembong has a research division and a separate development tasked with conducting related research improving the quality of sugar cane to be milled. The waste produced by PG.Kremboong is processed well, so it doesn't detrimental to the surrounding environment. Such as solid waste which can be sold or used for the factory itself, as for other solid waste anticipated with EP (Electrostatic Precipitator). Liquid waste is processed so that The water can be reused for irrigation or water for boiler needs.
