Abstract

The life of fishermen in Tengket Village is still synonymous with low levels of welfare and poverty, because socio-economic aspects have not been fully understood and not realized by fishermen, this study aims to identify the social conditions of fishermen, identify the economic conditions of fishermen, analyze the exchange rate of fishermen (NTN) and to analyze factors that affect the amount of fishermen's income. The place of this research was conducted in Tengket Village, Arosbaya District, Bangkalan Regency. The number of respondents in this study was 60 respondents. The analytical methods used in this study are quantitative descriptive analysis, Fisherman Exchange Rate (NTN) analysis and multiple linear regression analysis. The results showed that the social conditions of fishermen and the economic conditions of fishermen in Tengket Village, Arosbaya District, Bangkalan Regency were included in the medium category. Based on multiple linear regression testing on the t test shows that age, education level and length of time at sea partially have no effect on income, while capital, number of catches, and selling prices partially affect income. Test f shows that simultaneously age, education level, length of sea, capital, catch amount and selling price affect income, with a value of R2 0.073 or 73.3%.
