Abstract

Red beet cultivation is faced with relatively low production yields, so innovation is needed to increase production yields by utilizing paclobutrazol concentrations (500, 750, 1000 and 1250 ppm) and doses of NPK fertilizer (5,7,9 and 11 g/plant). The design used was a two factorial experiment arranged in a Randomized Block Design (RAK) with 3 repetitions. The results showed that the concentration of paclobutrazol and the dose of NPK fertilizer had a significant interaction on plant length aged 28-98 DAP, number of leaves aged 63-98 DAP, plant fresh weight (111.50 g), tuber fresh weight (96.33 g), tuber diameter (5.76 cm) and total chlorophyll content (45.58 mg/L). Based on polynomial regression analysis with the equation Y=-0.0001x2+0.2167x(R2=0.3885) the treatment of paclobutrazol concentration was able to influence tuber fresh weight by 38%. Based on polynomial regression analysis with the equation Y = -0.8932x2+16.339x(R2=0.923) NPK fertilizer dose treatment increased the fresh weight of red beetroot tubers by 92%, while 8% came from environmental factors.
