Abstract

Sidoarjo is famous for its ponds, especially shrimp. One of the special souvenirs of Sidoarjo is a variety of preparations from shrimp basic ingredients, including crackers. One shop that sells various souvenirs typical of Sidoarjo, especially shrimp crackers, is Mitra Shop. The "Mitra" store product has a wellknown quality, but the "Mitra" store product has one drawback, namely in terms of packaging that is less attractive and too simple. Today's products in the industry besides the quality of the taste of food products are also seen is the quality of the product packaging is good, according to needs, thus making the product value rises. In this design, an appropriate method is needed to get the desired results. The following stages of the process of making the design framework are as follows: (1) Phenomenon Determination, (2) Preliminary Research, (3) Determination of Problem Formulation, (4) Literature Study, (5) Competitor Study, (6) Comparator Studio. In this design the designer gets the initial data for reference in making the design so that the results obtained are appropriate and in accordance with needs using the method of observation, interviews, and questionnaires. While the observations were carried out directly in the Partner Shop, and interviews were conducted with the owner, UPT Mamin, and consumers. The discussion this time the designer designed a design concept to redesign the primary packaging of the Sidoarjo Partner Shop which consists of several concepts, namely: (1) Creative Concepts, one of the stages in a creative concept is to make a keyword or keyword in the form of "Practice Modern Package ". (2) Verbal concept, Verbal concept that will be used in planning this event is to use words and sentences that can influence consumer interest and interest in Mitra Toko shrimp cracker products. (3) Visual Concepts, the visual concept applied in the design this time uses a concept of packaging design that is physically and visually appealing. At this time the design will use the structure of an ergonomic, modern and attractive packaging concept. In this design later on raw shrimp cracker packaging will be conceptualized as a form of bread packaging so that it is easy to carry, so it seems practical Keywords: Souvenirs, Sidoarjo, Packaging, Modern, Shrimp, Crackers.
