Abstract

Employees are one of the most important elements of an organization. This study has the purpose of finding out the influence of competence and reward on employee performance through job satisfaction on non-PNS employees at the Kediri Regency Transportation Service. Increased expertise and skills through competencies that are still lacking, are thought to affect employee performance. Likewise, the provision of rewards that are still not optimal is thought to affect the performance of employees. Therefore, this study intends to prove some of these cases. This study was included in a qualitative study with 4 variables, namely Competency, Reward, Performance, and Job Satisfaction. The sample used was 48 people with sample determination using a saturated nonprobability sampling technique. The measurement scale used is the ordinal scale through the likert scale with respondents' answer scores 1 to 5. Hypothesis testing in this study used Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) Partial Least Square statistics analysis and descriptive analysis. The results of the study concluded that competence and reward had an insignificant effect on employee performance. However, through job satisfaction, competence and reward have a significant effect on performance. Competency and reward have a significant effect on job satisfaction directly. Job satisfaction has a significant effect on employee performance. Keywords: Competence, Job Satisfaction, Reward, Work Performance,
