Abstract

Medical personnel have an important role in achieving the goals of the hospital, namely optimal service, so medical personnel must pay attention to the resulting performance. Performance can be influenced by internal and external factors, the work performed by medical personnel has its own challenges because the work is engaged in services, so that in the process each individual has a different workload. The results of the large workload are related to internal factors, namely fatigue and work stress, supported by external factors, namely the work environment. The purpose of this study is to determine the level of internal factors experienced by medical personnel and their influence on performance, as well as recommendations for optimizing their performance. The method used for analysis was multiple linear regression of the results of the questionnaire distributed to medical staff including 57 doctors and 174 nurses from cluster random sampling using the Slovin method. The results of the analysis show that the average value of mental workload is 3.60 in the high category, work stress is 83.37 in the medium category, fatigue is 29.61 in the medium category, the work environment is 22.16 in good condition, and performance is 8.40 in the category tall. While the effect of the independent variables on the dependent variable simultaneously has a significant influence on the performance of doctors and nurses with an Fcount of 29.481 and a significance value of 0.000. Partially, the workload has a positive and significant effect on performance with a tcount of 3.372 and a significance of 0.001. Work stress partially has a negative and significant effect on performance with a tcount of -3.709 and a significance of 0.000. Work fatigue also has a negative and significant effect on performance with a tcount of -3.805 and a significance of 0.000. The work environment has a positive and significant effect on performance with a tcount of 6.766 and a significance of 0.000. Optimizing performance can be done by controlling the fourth hierarchical hazard, namely administrative control, which adjusts to hospital policies that have previously been implemented.
