Abstract

ABSTRACT Public diplomacy has become a crucial factor in international relations. Public diplomacy plays a key role in shaping a positive perception of a country in the eyes of the international community through various forms of communication, cultural exchanges, and non-governmental actor involvement. This research describes Indonesia's efforts in public diplomacy through prestigious motorcycle racing events, MotoGP, and WSBK held at Mandalika Circuit. The study analyzes how the Indonesian government utilizes the MotoGP Mandalika event to promote a positive image of the country, boost tourism, and strengthen international connectivity. The research methodology used is descriptive research with the framework of public diplomacy by Nicholas J. Cull, which includes Advocacy, Cultural Diplomacy, and International Broadcasting. The results of the study indicate that MotoGP and WSBK in Mandalika have become significant platforms for Indonesia to develop public diplomacy. The Indonesian government collaborates with various stakeholders, including event promoters, racing teams, and international media, to generate content that captures the world's attention. Keywords: Public Diplomacy, WSBK, MotoGP, Mandalika Circuit
