Abstract
The growing economic sector in the era of globalization requires humans to be smarter and wiser. This intelligence and policy can affect human financial behavior. The convenience in the economic sector can be seen from the development of financial institutions such as banks, cooperatives, insurance institutions, etc. The rapid development encourages modern humans to live smarter. Human intelligence in the modern era is used to use technology wisely. Without this, humans will be eroded by the swift development of the times which will affect human financial behavior. Research was conducted to examine the effect of parental income, emotional intelligence and financial literacy on the financial behavior of UPN "Veteran" East Java students. The population in this study were FEB UPN "Veteran" East Java students. Quantitative research methods using primary data types. The sample collection method uses probability sampling with random sampling techniques taken through distributing questionnaires as many as 100 respondents. Data analysis techniques using Partial Least Square (PLS) with validity tests, reliability tests and hypothesis testing. The results showed that emotional intelligence and financial literacy have a contribution to financial behavior. However, parental income has no contribution to the financial behavior variable.
