Abstract
Investment decisions, driven by rational and irrational attitudes in capital allocation, are assessed through financial literacy and behavioral finance biases. Behavioral finance includes overconfidence, herding, and loss aversion biases. This study scrutinizes the impact of these factors on investment choices by young Java Island investors, using simple random sampling this study obtained 100 sample of young java island investors. Analysis in this study use SEM-Partial Least Square analysis. Surprisingly, financial literacy's influence is limited, while overconfidence significantly enhances decision-making. Conversely, high herding bias impairs choices. Interestingly, loss aversion bias holds minimal sway over Java Island investors' decisions. This research underscores the intricate interplay between financial literacy and behavioral finance, shaping investment decisions in the long run.
