Abstract
This study aims to determine the potential of the economic sector in Madiun and Magetan Regencies. The study used a quantitative approach using secondary data from the Gross Regional Dodistic Product data for Madiun Regency, Magetan Regency, and East Java Province for the 2017-2021 period. The analytical tools used in this study are Location Quotient analysis, Shift Share, and Klassen Typology. Based on the results of an analysis of Location Quotient, Shift Share, and Klassen Typology in 2017-2021 Madiun Regency has 10 base sectors, 11 encouraging sectors, 7 sectors growing faster, 11 sectors having locational advantages, and 5 advanced sectors. Meanwhile, Magetan Regency has 8 basic sectors, 13 encouraging sectors, 8 sectors growing faster, 8 sectors having locational advantages, and 4 advanced sectors.
