Abstract
The market is a place to buy rice, one of which is Anom Sumenep Market, but in the midst of many brands sold in the market, rice consumers are not yet able to assess the quality of rice, the suitability between the contents and the packaging, especially the intended market segment. This study analyzes the knowledge of rice consumers on the quality of rice and rice packaging, analyzes the level of trust of rice consumers on the suitability between the contents and the plastic packaging of rice, analyzes the factors that influence the level of trust of rice consumers. This research uses quantitative data. Based on the results showed that in consumer knowledge of rice quality, 89% of respondents understood the knowledge of rice quality. The second objective of the level of consumer confidence in the suitability between the contents and packaging shows the results of the study, namely 87% of respondents will believe in the rice sold in packaging by traders who are sold in Anom Market, Sumenep, the third objective of factors affecting the level of trust of the five variables that have a positive and significant influence is Brand, Purchase Frequency, Price, Attributes and finally Packaging.
